Chi sono:

Sono nato nel 1966 e sono cresciuto a Inderøy, nel Trøndelag, ma mi sono trasferito a Østfold nel 2002 e dal 2012 vivo a Rygge / Moss, dove ho il mio studio.

I have my professional background in construction and engineering as a technical engineer and later a civil engineer, but over time I realized it wasn’t where I belonged.

Art has always been part of me throughout my life, and as the years have passed it has come to mean more and more to me. I’ve always felt a strong need to express myself creatively and have now fully stepped into the role of a visual artist, with all that it entails.

Ho una produzione ampia e varia, da immagini figurative d’atmosfera a immagini giocose, colorate e astratte. Lavoro molto con superfici e texture sia nelle mie immagini figurative sia in quelle astratte. Spesso mi ispiro alla natura e alla vita che mi circonda. Il blu di Prussia riecheggia spesso nelle mie foto e le mie composizioni sono spesso costruite attorno a scelte cromatiche.

Voglio che tu, come osservatore, trovi i tuoi sogni, le tue visioni e la tua storia nelle immagini. Anche se ho una visione dell’immagine, non voglio influenzare chi guarda.

Lavoro con molte espressioni diverse e sono in continua evoluzione, eppure vedi la mia impronta particolare in ciò che realizzo... il mio suono artistico.

Lo studio è stato l’incontro tra il motivo riconoscibile e l’astrazione del noto. Gli elementi figurativi e astratti sono stati accostati e hanno creato nuove dinamiche e possibilità interpretative. Ciò avviene attraverso diverse tecniche e metodi pittorici per creare la composizione e la costruzione dell’immagine.

techniques I work with:

Dipingo soprattutto con acrilico, ma mi piace mescolare diversi media e tecniche nei miei quadri. Dipingo su tela e su carta. Oltre a dipingere quadri, realizzo anche monotipi / grafiche e disegno con matita e inchiostro.
