About his Art

I was born in Milan on 28/5/1938. After earning my surveyor’s diploma, I was hired by the Municipality of Milan, where I worked for about 35 years, most of them as a computer programmer; meanwhile, by attending evening courses I obtained a certificate as an advertising graphic designer.

My great passion led me, in my spare time, to paint, producing a huge number of tempera works and drawings. Landscapes, still lifes and comics were the main themes of my output.

After discovering the graphic possibilities offered by the computer, I gave up pencils and brushes and threw myself headlong into this new direction. I deepened my knowledge of computer-graphics programs, also earning a web designer certificate.

Since 1992 I have transferred hundreds of images I created onto CD. About ten of these works were presented to the public in October 2002 at the Registry Hall of the Municipality of Milan under the title “From pencil to mouse: graphic experiments with the computer”, in my first (and so far only) official solo show.

Finally, in 1997, retirement fulfilled a lifelong dream: to devote myself entirely to painting.

Since then I have taken part in various group exhibitions and competitions, also receiving a few mentions, and I live practically in symbiosis with my computer.
