His Biography

Born in the province of Frosinone in 1943, he began painting with real continuity only in the 1990s, as a self-taught artist.

He has always nurtured a deep love for art, practising drawing—especially in his youth—refining his technique under the guidance of Master Franco Verroca during his high-school years.

His university studies first, and later his professional work as an engineer, kept him away from any artistic activity for many years, though he always remained interested in art, until he felt the irrepressible need to express on canvas, through colour, those emotions long kept dormant, for the sheer pleasure of portraying situations and images close to him, such as a face, a female figure, a theme of social interest.

Living his painting in a very intimate way—almost with a sense of modesty about sharing it—he virtually did not attend galleries and exhibitions until 2009, when he began exhibiting with the association “Cento pittori di via Margutta” in Rome, then continuing, thanks to the unanimous acclaim received, in a growing series of high-profile exhibitions and competitions, earning important recognition.

In 2012 he became a member of the prestigious Academy of San Lazzaro, chaired by Prof. Daniele Radini Tedeschi.

Skilled both in chromatic rendering and in the formulation of drawing, the artist focuses his attention on the human figure, analysed in its intimacy and inner life, the latter expressed through a body language rich in vital spirit.
Some of his paintings depict movements of the unconscious and achieve the desired results thanks to a clear, conscious and carefully considered luminous strength, based on classical schemes.
Many works portray women in bold poses, unsettling and seductive, marked by swirling brushstrokes that seem to spring from a tormented spirit.

Prof. Daniele Radini Tedeschi

A skilled figurative artist with great lyrical and emotional expressiveness.
On the canvas he creates free brushstrokes of intense colour that enhance the well-defined figure, bordering on hyperrealism.
The women he depicts are delicate, dreamy, highly striking.
His works show us an artist with a sensitive soul, attentive to female fragility.
