About Her Art

BARBARA REALE BIO – ARTIST STATEMENT

I was born, live and work in Rome. I am an artistic-spiritual mediator who, through color, seeks to find her own being as Man/Woman, to reconnect with her soul and with the Spiritual, the Sublime, God.

An abstract painter and Artistic-Spiritual Mediator, she works in her Rome studio with oil and watercolor, and as a citizen of the world she volunteers as an artist in art-therapy and integration projects across different cultures, religions and disabilities.

I work by bringing “Spiritual Soul Intuitive Art Workshop” experiences to Missions, Hospitals, Houses of Prayer and in international volunteering, and as an Art Life Coach.

I love the human being—his thoughts and poems—the music that accompanies us in life, and daily contact with the Spiritual, God and Mother Earth.

I develop themes related to the Christian and Kabbalistic sacred, and to abstract and informal language.

In my art there are symbolic and emotional components, non-figurative yet more iconic, evoking a universe of colors; this translates into the fact that the viewer can easily imagine a personal interpretation without being hindered by reality.

I favor the use of oil and watercolor in my research on the evolution of spirituality and as a means of expressing the forces of nature.

Through study and inspiration from a Sacred text, the Bible, I recall the six colors, one for each human sense, in the element of nature; inside and outside cease, and the Soul dances through the cosmos, rises and meets the Light, and my Feminine Being Creates.
