  His Biography

PINO ROMANO’ was born in Scilla, on the far Tyrrhenian coast of Calabria, and soon moved to Messina.
Here he completed classical studies and graduated in law.
Passionate about drawing since childhood, he began painting as a self-taught artist. He soon felt the need, however, to deepen his painting techniques and attended the studios of painters Nicoletti and Salvemini, as well as the open life-drawing school of the Academy of Fine Arts in Reggio Calabria, where he also began his work as an engraver, which he later pursued in the studios of Alleruzzo and Maccari.
After various stays in Puglia, Lazio, Liguria, Calabria and Sicily, in 1988 he moved permanently to Rome.
In this stimulating setting his creative activity received constant impulses, taking shape in an unmistakable and personal interpretation of the visible.
He lives and works in Rome and in Monte Porzio Catone.
